Sleeping in the snow

Watercolor © 2011 Crocus by Sally Wickham

Last fall I planted hundreds of bulbs--all kinds. Today, St. Patrick's Day, they are still buried in the ground under a blanket of snow. But soon they will wake up, and many, like the crocus and the snow drops, will blossom through a covering of snow.

  1. Actually, I didn't really plant any crocus or snow drops. I took poetic license there. But I did plant daffodils and lilies. But I want to plant crocus and snow drops. My sister Faye planted snow drops. Does that count?
